Statement

My work expresses the laborious relationship the hand has with the chosen material in conjunction with a visceral response to content.  Referenced forms, found in nature, are abstracted and deconstructed to the extent that shift the meaning and possible interpretations become multifaceted. The application of material and technique allows the viewer to examine its ambiguity and questions the origination of the content, which incites the viewer to make new personal connections with the beauty found in nature.
